We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our technical teams and drive the successful delivery of complex software projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, proven leadership experience, and a passion for building scalable, high-quality products.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership:
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge software solutions.
- Establish technical best practices, including code reviews, design reviews, and architecture standards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and the technology roadmap.
- Contribute to the overall architecture and design of current and future frameworks.
- Act as the voice of reason between speed and quality, ensuring balance.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers through coaching and career development plans.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture.
- Empower the product engineering team to be self-sufficient, disciplined, and versatile.
- Coach engineers to be T-shaped, taking responsibility outside their core discipline.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to define project requirements.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Track project progress, resolve blockers, and ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
- Drive execution and delivery of engineering goals by collaborating with cross-functional teams, architects, and product managers.
- Ensure product quality through automated testing, CI/CD processes, and code reviews.
- Advocate for best practices in software development and product delivery.
- Take ownership of the full life-cycle development process and the team’s deliverables.
- Own remediation of technical debt.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Communicate project updates, technical challenges, and risk mitigation strategies effectively.
- Lead initiatives to implement efficient development and delivery processes.
- Keep up-to-date with modern development technologies and methodologies.
- Motivate the product team to continuously innovate and deliver.
- Execute and update career path development plans for engineering team members, working closely with HR.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, data engineering and architecture,
- 3+ years in an engineering leadership and management role.
- Strong understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Databases & Distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in modern development frameworks, Golang/Rust is preferred.
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development life cycles (SDLC).
- Databases - SQL/NoSQL, MongoDB.
- Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, across regions, with conflicting priorities.
- Proven track record working with cross-functional teams and coordinating efforts in a distributed environment;
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Requirement
- Experience working in Blockchain, or other fast-paced technology environments.
- Certifications in project management (PMP, CSM) or software development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and cloud-based architectures.
