About the Job
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be working in a cross-functional team, and collaborating with other engineering teams across the enterprise, you’ll have the opportunity to work at scale in a motivated and passionate team.You’ll be joining a team working in a technically challenging space, you’ll need to feel comfortable exploring unfamiliar concepts. You’ll want to feel comfortable having and justifying strong opinions to achieve the best outcome – in a professional, constructive manner, of course.
Responsibilities
- Advanced SQL skills (or equivalent database querying language)
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards
- Extract meaningful insights out of the data
- Translate business information requirements into a meaningful set of SQL queries
- Develop and maintain key reporting metrics that drive business performance.
- Creating Views, Stored Procedures and Materialized Views in MySQL.
- Ability to parse XML tags into SQL human readable tables.
- Aware of GIT
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong quality mindset and familiar with implementing shift-left testing approach.
- Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access etc
- Advanced SQL skills (or equivalent database querying language)
- Proficient in Python language and PySpark/SparkSQL, Data Science (nice to have) enthusiast, advanced skill in experience working with BI tools such as Power BI
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organisations
- Self-motivated, assertive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent English communication skills
Preferred Requirement
- Experience of utilising Apache Spark and using analytic tools such as Jupyter Notebooks, Apache Superset or equivalent
- Familiar with Quality Engineering solutions (Automation Frameworks, Performance Validation) or willingness to learn
- Desirably experience or knowledge of Scala or Bash/Shell scripting
- Experience coaching integrated teams including developers to ensure systems are designed for testability.
- Independent engineer and ability to take proactive role
