As a Product Engineer, you won’t just write code – you’ll shape the product. You’ll join a fast-moving team of 6 full-stack engineers to build an ambitious product from the ground up, where speed, craft, and autonomy are deeply valued.

Responsibilities
- Build scalable backend services using NodeJs, gRPC, and RESTful APIs.
- Develop responsive UIs with React Router v7.
- Collaborate on API design and protocol buffers.
- Optimize database queries and data pipelines using PostgreSQL.
- Own features end-to-end, ensuring they are meaningful and contribute to top-line revenue.
- Improve observability, monitoring, and infrastructure.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering practices in a high-performance environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product-focused engineering.
- Deep expertise in NodeJs and micro-services architecture.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, gRPC/RESTful, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in React + TypeScript for cross-functional work.
- Startup readiness with a strong ownership mindset and fundamentals in driving revenue-generating products.
- English proficiency: Technical communication (ability to explain ideas, debug, and participate in stand-ups with a global team).
Preferred Requirement
- Experience in Payments or Fintech (highly preferred).
- Exposure to AI/ML systems.
- Proven track record of building high-performance, low-latency systems.
- Experience with both gRPC and REST
📌 Note for recruiter
- Salary Currency: Must emphasize SINGAPORE DOLLARS (SGD). This is a senior-level budget.
- Confidentiality: Do not disclose the client's name (AutoPilot) in initial outreach.
- Hiring Process (Crucial): No 1-week take-home. Replaced by a 90-minute Live Coding Session (supervised by the team) using Go/TypeScript React.
- Backend Focus: While it's a balanced 50/50 role, the CTO prioritizes quality and depth in backend/distributed systems.
- Environment: Team is multicultural (Taiwanese, Europeans, Chinese). Candidates must be able to communicate effectively to maintain high velocity.

- Salary: 5,000 - 8,000 SGD (GROSS - MONTHLY).
- Type of work: Remote UTC+8 | Permanent (3-month probation).
- Contract: Employed via EoR in Vietnam.
- Equipment: Work laptop provided.
- Reporting: Reports directly to the CTO.
